Green Building Design Group Africa ("GreenBDG Africa", "we", "us") respects your privacy and processes personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA). This policy explains what we collect through this website, why, and the rights you hold.

Who is responsible

GreenBDG Africa is the responsible party. Our office is at 61 Katherine Street, Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa. Privacy queries, objections and requests should go to our information officer at info@greenbdgafrica.com.

What we collect and why

• Contact and enquiry forms. Name, company, work email, optional phone number, portfolio details and your message. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to prepare the materials you asked for, such as a ROI estimate. The lawful basis is your consent, given by ticking the consent box, and the legitimate interest of responding to a request you initiated.
• Newsletter subscriptions. Your email address, used only to send the newsletter you subscribed to. Every issue contains an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw consent at any time.
• Technical data. This website does not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and reliability.

How your information is handled

• We collect the minimum needed for the purpose stated at the point of collection.
• We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing.
• Form submissions are processed by our website host, Netlify, acting as an operator. Netlify processes data in accordance with its data processing agreement, which includes safeguards for cross-border transfers as required by section 72 of POPIA.
• Client platform data is hosted on POPIA-compliant infrastructure in Johannesburg, South Africa.
• We keep enquiry records only as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any resulting engagement, after which they are deleted.

Your rights under POPIA

You may at any time:

• request access to the personal information we hold about you;
• request correction or deletion of that information;
• object to processing, or withdraw consent previously given;
• lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@greenbdgafrica.com. We respond within a reasonable time and in any event within the periods POPIA prescribes.

Security

This website is served over HTTPS with strict security headers. Forms are protected against automated abuse, and access to submissions is limited to the people who need it to respond to you.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, the updated version will be published on this page with a new "last updated" date.
